A super-fan of legendary racehorse Kauto Star has had an image of him tattooed on his body.
Shawnee Quinn of Athena Art in Sunderland told Horse and Hound that she had created the tattoo for one of her clients Steve Collings.
She admitted that this is the first time she had been asked to create a tattoo of a racehorse and after a few days researching, Ms Quinn came up with the ‘portrait-type’ image.
Mr Collings wasn’t the only person to have an image of the horse on their body as Emily Russell had her left calf adorned with Kauto Star in January.
He has backed the horse in every race he has competed in since the Tingle Creek Chase in 2005 and he is said to be very pleased with the results.
‘Apparently my client, Steve Collings had a great attachment with Kauto Star and has won quite substantial funds whilst following him over the years,’ he continued.
